CharityBidding.com was created by Leibl Cohen, founder of Cancer Can’t Catch Us. As a child, Leibl was a competitive roller skater — performing freestyle with all the jumps and spins you see on ice, but on roller skates (which is considerably harder).
Years later, a diagnosis of leukemia led doctors to discover that Leibl also had multiple myeloma, a bone cancer. “Thank God for the leukemia,” Leibl says, “because without it, they never would have found the myeloma. Early detection is the key.”
A retired research scientist in proteins, Leibl’s scientific background proved invaluable in understanding his conditions. He returned to competitive skating and competed for 21 years, earning season medals and becoming one of the oldest living survivors of both leukemia and multiple myeloma. He recently retired after nationals.
This journey inspired the founding of Cancer Can’t Catch Us and ultimately CharityBidding.com — a platform where the joy of winning meets the power of giving.

Our inaugural partner is Cancer Can’t Catch Us, funding cancer research and skating events. The platform is designed to serve any 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
